My work aims to help people understand, discover and see Mauritania in a new way.
Daouda Souleymane Corera (b. 1986) is a Mauritanian photographer from Sebkha, on the edge of the capital, Nouakchott. In December 2015 he lost his professional camera equipment in a car accident and began taking pictures with an ordinary phone, which he now uses to show the world the beauty of life in Mauritania, one of the least visited countries in the world.
